If and when it does occur, it will force everyone to modify their lifestyles. All of the other pieces will then fit into place. As of right now, people are still complaining about higher gas prices, but not taking action to make any changes or reevaluating their life choices. Once faced with the reality that they can no longer live in suburbs and drive large SUVs, things will finally start to change. Unfortunately, the United States could fight wars to get oil.
